Join our Team – Digital Comms Consultant

Intergenerational Foundation Co-Founder and CEO, Liz Emerson, sets out the details of the contract digital consultant role currently being advertised by the charity.

Join our team!

We are seeking a new Digital Consultant to provide immediate part-time (3 days per week) contract work for the non-party-political charitable think tank, the Intergenerational Foundation on a one-year contract.

Our office is in Herne Hill, London. The new Digital Consultant will join a small, friendly team that has been researching intergenerational unfairness for more than a decade in order to protect the interests of younger and future generations in government policymaking.

More about us

We are vehemently independent and non-party-political. We undertake research and publish our findings to the media, policy-makers, academia, business, and wider society on a wide range of issues that impact younger and future generations: housing, taxation, pensions, government debt, wealth distribution, health, mental health, higher education and environmental degradation. We are funded by no-strings donations from trusts, foundations, individuals and corporates whose missions align with our own.

The head-office team is surrounded by a wider active supporter group of around 90 members who meet monthly to discuss the charity’s activity and provide strategic advice and volunteering.

About the role

The Digital Consultant will:

  • Support the work of IF’s researchers by sharing our research findings across social channels using a variety of tools such as threads, images, dynamic graphs etc
  • Design and run online events (webinars, twitter spaces, zoom conferences)
  • Design and run online campaigns
  • Manage the front end of the IF website
  • Monitor and report on traffic changes on key IF channels

About you

There is a huge amount of autonomy with this opportunity, so we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, can react quickly and work efficiently, has drive, energy and enthusiasm, is creative, and who can turn a boring excel spreadsheet into visually appealing social media designs. Editing skills, and a background in maths/economics would be hugely advantageous, as would an interest in politics.

We normally work from an office in Herne Hill, London. The work is expected to be mostly office-based.

Remuneration

You can expect to earn around £28,000 for the one-year contract for 3 days a week based on a day rate of £180 per day. The applicant can change their working days during the week depending on other obligations and responsibilities.

How to apply

If you would like to apply for this position, please email your CV and a one-page cover letter outlining why you believe that you have the skills required for this role to [email protected].

Please note that candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
